What is Document

 

On daily basis, we require documents to sign or write something whether it is a personal letter, receipt, cheque, or other documents. Documents are materials that contain information in the form of symbols or writing. It may be on stone, wall, wooden-piece, glass, metal sheet, piece of cloth, printing, signature, and many others.

You have seen the documents that look similar but they tend to be forged.

As nowadays, the falsification of documents has increased. People tend to create false documents to get enroll in colleges, qualify for the job vacancy, change wills, or other important documents.

This falsification of documents is known as “Forgery”. So, what do you think is forgery a difficult task to perform? Absolutely, Not!

The art of forgery is not difficult to perform. You only require a good level of patience, good penmanship, adequate practice, enough courage to face the consequences. That’s it.

While evaluating Questioned Documents, expert faces varied problems. However, the important and most common problems are:

  2. Identification of typescript
  3. Evaluation of writing material
  4. Matching and evaluating the seals and stamps
  5. Examine the burnt documents
  6. Evaluation of Secret writings
  7. Altered documents evaluation
  8. Examining the Strokes of writing
  9. Changes to the documents such as erased indented obliterated or faded writings
  10. Study the condition of the paper or document.

To examine and give the right opinion, the document examiner needs to remain focused on the very minute details related to the documents. Whether in what condition they received the document, does any document contain fingerprint or blood strains or anything else.

These all-minute things will help the examiner to reach the conclusion and provide an accurate opinion.

Whereas, through documents we can get proper solutions to the questions that are:

  • Who traced or inked the signature?
  • Who altered the document?
  • What is the actual age of the document or writing?
  • What is the writing instrument used like Pen, pencil, or anything else?
